This course is perfect for you if you'd like intensive training in making jewellery from silver. Suitable for beginners or those with some experience this 5-day course taught by an industry expert will quickly get you up to speed with the core silver jewellery techniques.
The course covers the following subjects:
- Beginners Silver Jewellery
- Soldering Masterclass
- Intermediate Silver Jewellery
- Stone Setting in Silver (2 days)
Over the five days you will learn the following techniques:
- Sawing
- Soldering
- Annealing
- Sanding and polishing
- Working with silver
- Tools and resources
- Making multiple joints in the same piece
- Soldering awkward joints
- Tube setting
- Cabochon stone setting
- Gypsy/flush setting
The class is completely practical and is technique based. Throughout the 5 days, you will learn a whole range of technical skills from our expert tutors to well equip you in working in silver jewellery either for a business, for a special project or just for fun.
The course runs for 5 consecutive days from the start date.
Each day runs from 10am-5pm and we fit in lots of projects so that you really get value for money out of the course, you will be surprised what you can achieve. This is a very popular class with excellent results so do book early to avoid missing out.
At the end of this course, you will receive a certificate of completion.

As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
