The good news, that it is entirely possible to learn how to take great photographs for your website and social media even with very basic equipment. You just need to apply a few tricks and techniques, use a select few pieces of key equipment, a few key composition techniques and some practice!
This course is designed to help jewellers who want to improve their photography using a smartphone.
The smartphone jewellery photography course covers:
- How to use your smartphone to take photos using dedicated camera apps
- How to find visual style and style your jewellery photographs using props
- Key composition and styling techniques
- Preparing and setting up your shoot including key equipment
- The top 3 shots for jewellery photography
- Editing your photos for sharing online
- Videos on your smartphone
This is a great value, intensive class where you will learn to take lovely photos and videos of your jewellery which is an invaluable skill that will be used time and time again.

All students must bring their own smartphone to the class and a charger.
We recommend that you download one of our recommended camera apps before the session as this will save you time on the day. Our recommended apps are:

There is a small fee one-off for these apps.

Also, don't forget to bring some jewellery along too - if not we have plenty for you to photograph!
General Info:
As with all of our classes, there will be plenty of tea, coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 6.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
